Radio controlled car or RC car is one of the most played toy car by kids and even teens. RC car lovers spend much of their time playing car racing with this radio controlled cars. It offers an endless amount of thrill and excitement of race and the speed of each type of car.
RC car consists of two units – the car and the remote control or radio. Radio control consists of two sets of joysticks. One is to control the backward and forward movement and the other is for side-to-side movements. Less expensive radio controllers are powered by a number of rechargeable batteries. The other type of radio controller is also powered by batteries but with actual gas-powered engines.
With the growing popularity of RC cars, manufacturers offer different kinds of models and types to fit with every buyer or user. Some makers offer RC cars for kids in low cost and some were modeled after the real-life counterpart such as Ferraris, Porsches and Lamborghinis.
There are different kinds of RC cars that you can select, from its body type, model, style, color or in any size. On the other hand, there are some distinctions you need to consider in choosing RC car.
First, you will choose between electric RC and gas powered cars. Then you’ll choose for road racing or off-road racing models. Also if it is assembled or non-assembled as you purchase it and lastly, if you want to have it a car type or a truck type.
Car racers usually choose the RC cars that run on nitro gasoline or the so-called Petrol RC cars. It is the most popular and the fastest growing piece of the RC cars. Using petrol vehicles, you now can purchase the popular RC trucks that can jump at high speed and go off the road driving. And if speed or velocity is more of your concern, acquire the race cars that are inevitable in prepared tracks or along pavements.
Typically, petrol RC cars operate fast unlike the electric cars. Some of the nitro cars run in 70 to 90 mph. This electric or gas powered RC cars run on a special fuel made just for radio controlled cars.
The most popular sizes of nitro RC cars are 1/8 and 1/10 scale. 1/8th scale is popular for off-road trucks and buggies while the 1/10th scale is the industry standard for on-road racers. The 1/8th scale come with a 2 or 3 speed transmission.
Most of the petrol RC cars or nitro cars have a pull engine that is similar to a lawnmower for easy operation. It is very important to follow instruction in running the nitro vehicles because it is more complicated than electric cars.
Nitro vehicles are available in the 2-stroke motor or the less conventional 4-stroke version. The 2-stroke motor requires a fuel oil mixture and the 4-stroke motor has a reservoir of oil and can run on straight fuel. The 2-stroke is more suitable in racing because it has the advantage of producing the higher rpm or the revs up faster. On the other hand, the 4-stroke engine is much better for off-road use because it has more power and torque.
It is necessary to regularly maintain and check your nitro vehicle for long last usage and also for better performance. Some loves on tuning and tweaking their cars. Always check the car parts such as header, pull start cord, differential, air filter and the clutch.

Help answer the question about gas remote control cars
Remote Control Car Engines or Airplanes — Perferably A Gas Powered 1?Now iam a nooby to the remote control car and airplane engines, however i know alot about real car and motorcar engines, but the remote control engines are entirly new to me.
So my question is are the engines similar, like a 24.7cm engine for example. is the "cm" like the "cc" on a motorcycle?
So what are the most powerful engines for cars and airplanes?
what is a good engines size for a nooby like me to start out with for a car (i wanna make like a porsche 928 model) and a airplane (something like a Spitfire)?
Any good websites that can show me prices of enignes?
And what are good remotes for the vehicles like cars and airplanes?
What is a good engines size for a begginer car (a lot of torque and speed perferabbly) and what will it run to buy it?
What is a good engines size for a begginer airplane, and what would it cost?

jon is dat the beast
you are killing your car and your engine man
For starters it depends on if it is actually gas powered or Nitromethane powered(most "gas" powered, small block rc cars). If it is a nitromethane powered car you would need to make sure that it has fresh fuel in it(stales very easily). Make sure that you have a charged glow plug heater. And then actual starting methods also very. There are pull starters, there are bump starters, and there are specialized starters(like those that Traxxas use).

You made a good decision to start how you did. Some people just don't get into it after the new wears off. First, make sure you learn about how the car works, the moving parts, the refueling procedure etc.
Use caution at first regarding the engine heat. They run hot.
Find a place thats open and away from things you don't want to hit, like the neighbors stuff.
You may want a friend to help at first by being an extra set of eyes and ears and brains. Start slow until you get used to the turning/driving feel. Do some circles and what not. If you really want to practice, set up a course with left and right turns, like a road course on the NASCAR circuit. One more caution, learn your range or distance of signal. Always stay in control and don't let the car become a run away.
Once your ready, graduate to a larger open space like a vacant lot or parking lot (watch the traffic) You can put the hammer down there and get up past 30mph. And it'll be loud, too.
You'll probably find that you like it, and then you have further choices like helos and boats and dinosaurs and insects. It's all good!

It is a solenoid press/pulling the throttle. Another solenoid steers the wheels.
Buy a real kit first to learn how it works then use the parts for the ones you would buy anyway.
Get a new plug, new tubes, rebuild the carb, turn the top end needle all the way in clock wise, then back it out 2 and 1/2 turns counter clock wise.1st take the old plug out and toss it,put a few drips of fuel in the cylinder, turn it let it loosen up.Put new plug in,then be sure the glow ignitor is fully charged. If it has gas in it,dump it out in a safe place and fuel with new fuel. She'll be a b itch but she'll start to pop, then once she starts just let her run for a bit. From there adjust top end needle as needed according to weather.Mail me anytime if you need advice instead of using your points here. There are only 2 rubber seals in the carb.Or buy it new for like $17,it's easier that's what i suggest, go new for the carb.Take the air filter and toss it too,get new ones.Mail me anyway and tell me what model it is.
There are different laws in different areas. Sometimes it's illegal, sometimes it's not.
If it is illegal in your area, and you get caught, you won't get in trouble. Most cops won't even know of the law. The worst they'll do is tell you not to run it on the streets.
I'm also guessing your going to run it in your neighborhood/non busy streets… if so, like I said, you'll have nothing to worry about.
**I'm not a laywer, please take advice at your own risk**
You can, but you risk losing power to do so. There are a couple of different pipes on the market that will quiet down a nitro engine, but you can also put a piece of silicone tube on the stinger(as long as you want, the longer the better) And it will help tone the sound down. It will never be as quiet as an electric, but you can make them a little bit quieter.
Sorry to say that if the RC car is the fuel type and not the battery type then you most likely will not be able to take on the plane. There is no fuel operated items allowed on the aircraft. Even if you empty it it still will smell of fuel and oil. Even if you never put fuel in it they most likely put fuel in the engine and tested it at the factory. So once they smell that then you will not be allowed to take it unless you remove the engine.
